Ah the mystery of the ambulatory objects in an inaccessible tomb... What you're saying, Whoop John, is essentially that:
"For the want of a continuity girl, the Kingdom was lost"
My dear boy, the continuity girl was in truth some high class ditzy Doreen with a bad English degree and not a single clue as to how to go about matching the scene. She went out, met a nice man who gave her a quiet afternoon freebasing some badass coke. Hurriedly, on the way home after readjusting her attire, she pops into Abdul's corner shop and acquires a copious quantity of acoutrements that seemed roughly OK. She'd largely spent the budget on the coke, but a fiver's worth of Abdul's kit set that straight.
The articles don't just amble, they morph around like a claymation. While running around the room, a book changes into a box, objects change their scale, some disappear, some dry out and lose all trace of their staining. A new sheet has to be found and a new cross painted onto it, not quite the same as it was before.
As for Ben later cutting the shroud off and desecrating what is said by him to be Mary Magdalene, how will he ever live with himself for butchering such an important venue and personality? All that foam and landslides and destruction. It's nuts. Never happened.
I used to make Pepper's Ghosts, I've made four, for various museums around the world. These are nasty fellahs, because if you want to match scenes, you know that one is seen straight on, through the mirror, and the other via the mirror, so you have to make it exactly the same but in reverse. So I know what it's like trying to match one thing up exactly with another. When I worked on 'Alien' imagine my surprise and delight when Ridley Scott decided later he wanted two more space suits, exactly the same as the three full-sized ones made a month before, but 4/5ths the size, so he could shoot kids in close up to look like adults at a distance. Dig those DVDs out and see if you can tell, readers.
Just trying to say I do know what I am looking at and it is two different scenes. So will DRAC dig both of them up? No, because it is a joke.
