Well, in light of certain people on here (who shall remain nameless) responding in the same manner (if at all), then what can I say?

Look, Barbara, I don't know what your problem is with someone who presides in a church other than your own and has a private retreat house. The bishop, as you can find out for yourself if you read his blogs and various group discussion forums, is legally (canonically) consecrated and the validity of his holy orders and sacraments (all seven of them) is not held in doubt by those in mainstream churches. When a slur was cast in a back announcement on an amateur radio programme about his standing as a bishop the complaint he lodged was upheld by the Broadcasting Standards Commission whose chairman, Bishop Richard Holloway (Church of England), stated unequivocally that he is a properly consecrated bishop. The radio programme apologised unreservedly and made clear it was not their intention to cast any slur on the legitimacy of his standing as a bishop. He represents the traditional wing of his denomination in Great Britain and will not necessarily enjoy the support of liberal modernists who regard themselves part of the same denomination, nor would he seek their support.

To ask (how many times have you raised this now on the web over the years?) how many sacraments he provides is contentious, Barbara, as he obviously celebrates all the sacraments and legitimately so. This obviously includes baptisms, marriages and funerals etc. His episcopal seat is Glastonbury, Somerset. His private retreat, which has never been public, is not where he conducts public services. It is a private retreat with a small family chapel. The number of vehicles he and his wife have is none of your business, Barbara, but I can well imagine a four-wheel-drive is necessary in rural Somerset and other places he frequents. Whatever you have heard from this or that source, it was definitely not from him. Repeating what you have heard or read about him by someone else is not a wise course of action. If these things matter so much to you, and you have raised them often enough in the past, why do you never approach the bishop himself? He has already established that other people do not and cannot represent him in such matters. They can only offer their opinion or thoughts.

I learned all this by looking on the web. You could have done the same. The man is a bishop, not a parish priest, and therefore does not have a parish priest timetable for services. Again, one is bound to ask why you would want to attend a Mass celebrated by someone not of your own denomination? Why does a traditionalist like him interest you with your views? If it is not your intention to attend a Mass or other service held by him, why are you enquiring? Why is this particular bishop of such interest to you? And why would anyone sympathetic to him want to provide antagonistic elements who stalk and harass him with notice of where he might be conducting a service? The fact is, Barbara, if you genuinely have a question for the bishop about his retreat house, vehicles or anything else, you would surely address them to him on his blog for that purpose and not be raising them on here? If you really want answers about the bishop go to the bishop and ask him. I am certainly not his mouthpiece.

I asked what time his services were and when did he preach and was told by his then representative--forget what the name was--that as a bishop he did not preach he left that to his underlings--which is nonsence.
