You are absolutely correct TCP!!! Wrong mountains. The hair you have been splitting has totally detracted from the point trying to be made, which was; there was NOT just a small fraction of the population opposed to the RCC and what was going on...

Wrong mountains, wrong country, wrong perpetrators! How much more "wrong" can you be while still being so belligerent? Sorry if you characterize accuracy as "hair-splitting" and I'm equally sorry that this exercise in futility hasn't advanced your original (incorrect) point one iota! Anything else I can help you with?

the mention of the massacre was an 'aside' and has naught to do with the meat of the thread. However, since you couldn't prove me wrong on the other counts....this one is the one you latched onto.

Other people can read for themselves. It's only your perception that I have not advanced my theory. Surely you realize you are not the only person who reads this forum.

I could tell you what you could do that would assist me, but I'm trying avoid the green ink monster.

And I'm pointing out that those families that you are saying didn't get there until 1066 were already there...had been there for quite some time....were in Scotland first, then France and back to Scotland.

I mean, the Normans WERE originally Vikings...were they not?

That's like assuming that since all Chinese are Asians, all Asians must be Chinese. The Vikings who first invaded Scotland weren't from Normandy, Dipity. And while it's tempting to think you wouldn't know the difference, I think you actually do.

I don't know why I was thinking that the average Joe peasant wasn't free to roam the planet....something about feudal law comes to mind.

Raiding parties during the time in Scotland were carried out by FAMILIES/CLANS and the septs that supported them....septs being family, just more removed. The people doing the raiding were landed gentry...people with assets. I'm willing to bet the Vikings worked along the same lines...seeing as they were intermarried.

My theory is, that is has been only the top 5% of any society that moves around in raiding parties. These guys had to provide their own swords, shields, etc. etc. in order to have this stuff you had to have means. Ownership of any real assets was limited to the elite.

Same as it ever was....

Dipity....Dipity, Dipity, Dipity...

Why do you seek help for anything when you've already convinced yourself that you're right about everything? I think you're more interested in accolades than assistance. Pity you're so far off the mark on most of it.

Precisely. And other people deserve to see how you screw things up so terribly.

TCP is Angelique Lenoir the sister of Alexandre Lenoir, if not who are the siblings of (Marie) Alexandre Lenoir?

Thanks just thought you might have it on your database. I've looked everywhere and I think :?: it was referenced once but being google translate I wasn't sure whether I was reading it correctly or just another fictional story about a non-existent relationship.

Both names are in the database, but with no information on parents or siblings, just descendants.
