Hi guys. As you know, Chapter 2 of the book is on Arcadia now, but the book will not be out until the second half of 2010, sadly; (

It's scheduled for Fall 2010, but it'll be worth the wait...we've got some interesting developments regarding forewords etc. Lot's of stuff cooking in the pot! Patrice is pretty adamant about leading a tour to the sites in the Spring prior! :D

A kind of fashion nowadays. Just like Henry Lincoln and Guy Patton and Thomas Ritter and many others ... ... when will Ben's Grave Tour be scheduled?

I wish Patrice`s books were as long as Umberto Eco`s books.

I don`t want "City of Secrets" to end. I`ll need to reread it to

learn all of the information. I ordered "Happy Hour" as well. So you

work for the Theosophists Xoche, cool!

Hi Renne, yes, we're (Quest Books) the Theosophical Publishing House, we're located on the Theosophical Society in America HQ campus just outside of Chicago. The society was moved here from NYC in 1926. If any of you are ever nearby, please come out and visit us!!! Just drop me a line--we have adorable rooms for stay (I used to live here and just recently moved off. I could still get a staff discount for anyone wanting to visit, so it's like 15-20 bux a night). We have the most wonderful esoteric library, amazing rare book room, meditation room, labyrinth, vegetarian organic meals (although unfortunately NOT low cal considering all the cheese and butter, hmmmf) etc. It's a very restful, yet stimulating place to be. of course we're still made up of humans and have our share of politics, the human condition etc., but overall, this place is amazing for spiritual development. I started a facebook fanpage at http://www.facebook.com/TSAmerica and my co-worker created an online social network for us at http://www.theosophical.ning.com (there are other Theosophical networks, but this is the official one for the TS of America)

I've heard some people be somewhat surprised that the TS would publish Patrice's books, but actually the inner information is extremely theosophical, as in its relation to the Perennial Wisdom. Different system's inner teachings speak of exactly what she has learned through Kabbalah's teachings, especially in regards to the 'Passage a la lumiere' and the importance of the 7 stars and the portals in this earth, which she knows came from as far back, if not before, Atlantis. This stuff goes back, as Patrice says, from pre-history on this planet.

Oh, anyone interested, please spread the word that I started a fanpage for Patrice on facebook! http://www.facebook.com/PatriceChaplin

Happy Friday & shanti, shanti, shanti :D

Probably because it's the Basque cross, a rounded swastika known as lauburu.....the philosophy of the Basque has always been an understanding of Nature.

yes..."but"...
why not change a symbol that has been so malused?
seriously...

seeing this symbol (though knowing a little more about it)...still makes me want to flee from it.

we are today...not yesterday...and sometimes...not even now.

think about it...

But archaeological evidence of swastika-shaped ornaments dates from the Neolithic period.....the Sanskrit word svastika means any lucky or auspicious object....in Greek it's called the tetra-gammadion and was used to symbolise the four cardinal corners of the world and the guardianship of this world.

I understand your feelings Paula...but we have to move on.

When I was little I found a swastika pendant my mother had. It was bhuddist. She explained it's meaning to me. I've seen it in Bhuddist temples on the third eye of The Bhuddah. It's more a symbol that has significance negatively in the west and we all know why but I agree with Sheila, we should move on despite our discomfort it's bigger than what happened. It's thousands upon thousands of years of history. It's our legacy and nobody or nothing should take that away from us.

Don't forget the main thing about this: Hitler REVERSED the Svastika - so it became something else. The wheel of life turned into a wheel of death.

I know, but in true Bhuddist tradition & Tao tradition you cannot have the light without the dark.

That's something else then.
The wheel of life consists of the opposites, light/darkness, hot/cold, and so on forever.
The wheel of death is pure destruction.

The etymology of the word labarum is unclear; it is perhaps to be derived from (...) ancient Cantabri dialect labaro ('four heads') (in nowadays basque the word is lauburu, with the same meaning) ...
