I am having some difficulty finding my own posts and yours as there are so many topics going on at once that overlap..since I do not excel at jumping all around or multi-tasking posts, I will take the liberty of starting a new topic called 'The Rod of Moses' if anyone is interested in further discussion about it....here I be. Moi. Meet me and Moses right here.

You obviously don't know that originally there was no "mystery" of Rennes-le-Chateau, and that the whole concept is a fabrication. There were no question marks relating to Berenger Sauniere during his lifetime, it is only something that has developed decades after his death.

Sauniere was a militant reactionary against the French Republic, an anachronistic Conservative Monarchist who lost his priesthood and died in poverty and owing money to many people - his debts were inherited by his housekeeper who likewise lived in poverty and hunger and in considerable hardship - accumulating property tax debts that she had to borrow money in order to keep the Villa Bethanie - her financial plight and life of squalor only ended after Noel Corbu arrived on the scene in 1946 and settled all her debts. The "wealth" of Berenger Sauniere is a fabricated myth - his income from selling masses was all used up by him renovating his church, buying properties of land, construction of his domain and buying expensive furniture -- not all of which was paid for during his lifetime.

The source of Sauniere's wealth, his activities, his writings --- are all things that have come down to us. The evidence and documentation has been published in France umpteen times over.

Adding "The Rod of Moses" to this only makes you another believer in the mythical and non-existent "treasure" of Rennes-le-Chateau. Most of the books published on this subject matter are only good for chucking down the garden.

Dear Mr. Norton,
Sir, I think you misunderstand me. The topic I put forth has nothing to do with RLC. There is a history- a tradition of such rods that cross cultures and locations. I was interested in a general discussion about such rods in history, from the Pharaohs to the Bible, to coronation of Kings and Queens. Then we can examine the validity and claims about such a rod at RLC or anywhere else.

I would ask you an additional question: In this desperate search for the Holy Bloodline purportedly from Magdalene and Jesus, what is the furthest back anyone has verified their bloodline to any member of Jesus' family? I mean for the sake of tracing a bloodline, how close to Jesus has anyone actually come? A son? A grandson? An uncle?
Could we not begin building a case, or dismantling a case from this starting point?
Forgive my naievity. I am merely your student here.
Thank you.
Shasta

No-one can verify such a claim.
Since Jesus Christ was a pre-existent supernatural being cognate with God and due to make a Second Coming being the SAME PERSON who was crucified, died and rose again to Heaven (according to the Christian religion that INVENTED the Deity) and to Judge the Human Race at the End of Time, the whole idea of a bloodline is ridiculous and stems from the ignorance of the Christian religion.

Christianity is predominantly an Apocalyptic religion, nullifying the very idea of a Bloodline connected with Jesus Christ

Please look up the difference between transfiguration and transmutation.
