Freemasonry, Napoleon and the wider esoteric community have all paid homage to the Bee, but that has not stopped it from dying. Albert Einstein forewarned that mankind will perish four years after the Bee does, and this puts us circa 2012; the end of days according to the Mayans. Does anybody care, and how has it come to this in first place?

It's a bit of a monster. Grab a pint or beverage of your choice before digging in.

Cheers,

Andrew

And thanks to those of you who have pointed out that Einstein is only alleged to have said that man will perish 4 years after the bees die. There is no proof. I cover that in the article in some detail. It just makes a good intro. Keep reading...; )

Andy, A great ending to a thought provoking piece of work. I am most impressed with your ability to think about something else once in a while. Bravo! I have been inspired to do a little research into this area myself. Lori :D

P.S. Yes,wouldn't it be nice if we could figure out how this all started. Then we could relax and go fishing.

Finally read the last installment of "The Bee" and found it really interesting, so many thanks. And particular thanks for making it so accessible to those like me who are a long way down the ladder when it comes to understanding these things, and also enjoyable to read (much in this genre really isn't). You should turn it into a book.

I shall be re-reading the three articles as there's so much material in there to absorb. And will never again look at a jar of honey in quite the same way!

Just been told that in Britain....." Stocks of Honey will run out by Christmas"

Has anyone seen or heard anything about this?

No, but it's a very alarming thought if it's true. Just did a quick Google search, and found a BBC story from back in 2004 with the same sort of headline, blaming the predicted shortage on the wet summer in the UK that year. We've certainly had one of those in 2008; raining again as I write this.

Selfishly, I tend to get my year's supply when I go to France - a place in the Corbieres whose "garrigue" mix in particular is the best I've ever tasted. Guess I'll be clanking around Perpignan airport with an even heavier suitcase than normal next month.

Andrew, your 3-part series on the Bee was well done. Thank you for your excellent effort.

Beloved, creation, in all its dimensionality
is the manifestation of our love.

Yes, creation is the unfolding of our heart,
and the sweet nectar of its blossom,
draws those who are ripe for devotion.

Beloved, like bees, they are attracted
to the intoxicating fragrance of our radiant presence.

Yes, blessed are those,
who realize the luminosity of our love,
for they shall emanate the presence of our heart.

Beloved, those who surrender into our love, know the pure bliss of our heart.

Yes, they know the intoxicating nectar of life.

Beloved, like bees, they descend into our flower of never-ending delight.

Yes, blessed are those who recognize the sweet nectar of my love,
for they shall awaken to the radiant blossom of my heart.

Blessed are those who awaken like a bee
deep within the chalice of my heart,
for they shall also recognize it
as the blossom of the pure, radiant heart of my beloved.

Blessed are those who awaken with the cup
which is the chalice of my heart,
for they shall recognize the sweet, golden light of my love
flowing within the stem of the Holy Grail.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Beloved, the luminous blossom of our Heart

Is the hive.

Yes, the Holy Grail intimately knows the blossom of our Heart,

And hears the bees of our hive.

Beloved, the Holy Grail drinks the sweet, golden-light nectar

Of our Heart.

Yes, the Holy Grail tastes the exquisite, blissful nectar

Which flows forth from the union of our Sacred Love.

Beloved, the Holy Grail is the blossom of our Heart

And our Hive.

Yes, blessed are those, who intimately know

The Sacred marriage of our luminous Heart,

For they shall taste the sweet, indescribable nectar of Eternal Love,

And become the Holy Grail.

Wonderful articles! Thanks for sharing.

I wrote this after I learned of the Irish and their practice of "Telling the Bees"...and of keeping a hive on their property.

"shshshsh!!!!

what shall we tell them

...as they buzz about their hive?

we must speak of Death,
and yet...
She Survives!!!

how Lovely
She Is,
reconfigured and re-sketched.
She is The Example,
of Life...and, the Example of
Death.

She IS Here,
to Guide us towards the Sun.
perhaps it is-
the West,
that She is Found?

Dreams and Memories
of a Time some back,
of She and the Bees...
of All of The Dreams...

of West and East-
Mountain and Desert...
of Sun-setting or rising?
of Tornadoes or Rain...
Of bodies or souls---
Of Existence in pain...

shshshsh!!!!

what shall we tell them

...as they buzz about their hive?

we must speak of Death,
and yet...
She Survives!!!!!"

I am wondering why this Pope, chose to REMOVE the 'beehive' from his personal crest and replace it with the miter?

Does anyone know why?

I am so fulfilled when I research all of this...I can not even begin to explain...all has really facinated me since childhood really.

Namaste,
Paula
