Mr Carmain should now register his Coat-of-Arms on the online “Burke’s Peerage & Gentry – International Register of Arms” and provide details of his lineage, so it can then be checked and endorsed by a professional genealogist.

Yes, because so many of these professional genealogists are so accurate and so ethical. Why only yesterday a "professional genealogist" assured me that I am indeed related to both Charlemagne and Princess Diana... thereby managing to completely mess up several years of painstaking genealogical research on my part. How could I have been so wrong thinking I was just a commoner. Wonder where I go to be fitted for my tiara...?

Leave TCP alone. He's more legit (and sane) than you are. And why do you care so much about his personal life, hm?

I have missed you though. Haven't had such a good laugh since your website disappeared. It had the dubious distinction of being the only site I was ever denied membership in! But I do owe you a debt of gratitude: if it hadn't been for your diatribes there I might not have found Rennessence or this forum!

I said "more useful" not "excellent". If you wanted to know what was going on in the old Soviet Union then Pravda would have been more useful than USA Today but not excellent.

The truth is here, Pravda could have claimed that as well, Orwellianly speaking.
But you're right, the old Smith site was useful, whether we agree with his conclusions or not. A pity he doesn't have the strength to abstain from abusing those who disagree with him, or the way he operated his 'forum'. A shame, really.

Hello, TCP I have a question for you regarding who you contacted regarding being able to claim arms as well as titles.
My mother's father's side on both sides are Hidalgos. And my father's family also is already documented Hidalgos however with the new Spanish system they will not recognize Hidalgos from the female line.

We are directly descended from Visagoth kings as well as the Duke of Albuquerque Beltran De Cueva family, Hurtado y Mendoza and Casa De Solar and Carvajal family to name a few. We would be normally titled Dona/Don English translation would be lord or lady de..... I believe we also have other titles but since the lines have gone extinct in the "direct male lines" we would not be entitled to them as we are female descended and too much time has lapsed.. at least I don't think. Unofficially we are considered Immemorial nobility. Nobility that is established as existing since before normal records of Spanish nobility during the Roman period.

Our genealogy is most very closely tied to Doña María del Rosario Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart y Silva, 18th Duchess of Alba de Tormes, Grandee of Spain. And the of course the king Juan Carlos. However we are descended from most recently from the youngest children of the titled Grandees that went to seek fortune and acclaim from the king. :(

I was wondering how were you able to contact Guy Sainty and others to verify our documents. Most of the work on our family has been done by recognized researchers and historians in the U.S.,Mexico and Spain. We still have Spanish land grants in our name given to us by the King of Spain.

However it has been a little difficult getting information from our state historians without them wanting us to buy their research journals.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much TCP xx :D

Mr. Sainty has never seen my genealogical particulars and could probably care less about them, my interaction with him several years ago pertained to another matter entirely.

I furnished genealogical and ancestral heraldic proofs upon admission to a dynastic order awarded by the Portuguese pretender and was furnished with a concession-of-arms, which is not a grant but an acknowledgment of armigerous ancestry. Subsequently I was recommended for membership in a Spanish nobiliary company and furnished this information to the Cronista de Armas with my application, and was accepted.

Both were by recommendation, I am not aware of a path for soliciting membership in either body.
