IMHO the only intelligent members of this forum are those who spotted this obvious scam from the beginning.

I don't know VAM but I know that sometimes relatives give each other the benefit of the doubt, so maybe she allowed herself to be fooled. It is normal for a mother to protect her son and vice versa, so maybe she's lying.

You insist Hammott and VAM are lying now. Why are you so certain they haven't been lying all along?

I see 2 possibilities:

1. Ben Hammott and a small number of confederates, possibly including members of his family, fooled a number of credulous Magdalene enthusiasts and other RLC "experts" with £1000 worth of "hollywood magic", some cheap antiques and a shaky camera.

2. A 2000 year old conspiracy involving thousands (Tens of thousands? Hundreds of thousands?)of Cathars, Templars, Merovingians, troubadours, Sinclairs, a secret priory and virtually every artist of the Renaissance to protect a secret so shocking it will destroy the Catholic Church and shake Christianity to its very foundations, but which they choose not to reveal except through very ambiguous clues they leave practically everywhere.

Her Arcadia Forum name comes from a most despicable post written here a good few years ago.
I hope that clears things up and stops the confusion.

No problem for me Father Silence, and regarding your above post I would agree that number 1 is the likely scenario. My only query would be how many people were involved in said hoax, as I personally think it unlikely that Ben managed this alone.

Yes it is normal. But VAM has been Ben's mother long enough that she would know what kind of son he is. And she doesn't seem to be the kind of mother that would protect a lying, cheating son. So I think your attempt to construct a scenario that would support your theory is not succeeding.


Why do you believe her now? It is you who has chosen to believe a known liar, not me. I choose to believe the liar who is lying now but was not lying before and was, therefore, not a known liar. My chosen liar was telling the truth, and still is (except for the recent lie about lying).


Then you need your eyesight checked. There are many possibilities. Empirical possibilities are not constrained in the same way that logical possibilities are.
