This is a bit trivial, but I just had to share...I found out this morning that two of the top executives in the organization I just joined are named Bogomil and Eschenbach (with a Boaz thrown in for good measure...).

Caelum, you had better not say too much more:

http://www.vmware.com/company/leadership.html

Perhaps "VM" stands for Voynich Manuscript?

Compelling synchronicity.

Better check the basement for buried treasure!

I hear you brother...just between us, the cover story is that it stands for "Virtual Machine" but those in the know
are aware that it's actually "Veiled Manichaens".

Caelum, I am very impressed with the company you keep. It suggests above a modicum of intelligence..

Bill,

These two propositions taken together suggests that the trail to the Grail should be easily found. :)

Manichaeism was the principal Gnostic group. It maintained a double Pantheism: a Pantheism of spirit, which emanates from the good; and a Pantheism of matter, which emanates from the evil. Both were considered necessary and evolved through the clash of theses and antitheses

Everything is connected and there are no coincidences.

My eyes are shut wide open - so no-one can ask of me, what is the sound of two eyes batting?

Which one?

Heres a co-incidence. I was looking through some of my old research notebooks today and opened one at a page where i had laid out a path of connection between the labyrinth and the castle of the Fisher King, the place where the Grail procession was seen.
My conclusion was that the labyrinth equates to the Grail Castle.

The links would make Roscoe scream - they are exactly the kind of thing he should be looking at, yet refuses to do - but i'll not be putting them on here.

Hotspur - please enlighten us as to your avatar. At first i thought you had hacked Tertius' medical files. If so it is clear to see the source of his pain.

RM,

It does look a little threatening. :)

I assure you, Roger's pain is all self inflicted, although he won't see it that way.

The avatar of course is Il Salame D'Oro.

I pinched it off one of TCP's posts - but please don't tell him.

This is a fascinating and classic motif - I have heard Glastonbury Tor referred to as a "spiral castle" because you walk a spiral labyrinth to reach the summit - same with ziggurats, The Divine Comedy, etc. - you climb, or circle through "levels" or "regions" on your way to union, or enlightenment - I think castles are an ideal symbol for this, because they typically are on crests/pinnacles/acmes, or at least themselves are "mountains" so they represent things you climb toward, or through...
