You said you have known about the hoax for a couple of years, I imagine you had a few discussions about it with your ex and you have explained why you didn't spill the beans. So, knowing what you do, in your honest opinion do you think Sandy and Bill were manipulated and fooled or do you think they were in on the deception?
His confession was the same two years ago as it is today. He worked completely alone on this hoax. My honest opinion is that nobody else was involved, that he even fooled his brother into believing they had stumbled upon this tomb!

VAM

Thank you VAM :D
Sandy and Bill are being hauled over the coals as accomplices in his deception, sadly  some are scrutinising every post they have made over the years looking for any scrap of evidence to incriminate them, so, in hindsight do you think you should have ended his deception earlier or had a quiet word in Sandys ear to warn her that she was being manipulated by a con man and her reputation as an honest researcher in this genre was at stake because of her trust in someone you knew was deceiving people?

Honest researcher?
It would appear that, for all her pugnacious defence of the 'Tomb', Sandy has decided that utter and complete incompetence is a more viable defence than trying explain her inexplicable behavior.

Good to see that the Sisterhood of the Private Forum are rallying around! I bet its been all tea and sympathy there !

The good news Tingra is that the Circus will eventually move on and set up in range of the next unverified and inexplicable theory............wait for it...........The Crista!

Given your expletive filled defence of its proponents I'm not sure that a defence of Naivety is gonna work in your case...........
Your time might be better spent scrubbing your posts to reduce your involvement as dear Ol'Roger already has!

If only someone had saved his contibutions for prosterity.....................................

Edited to add.....

You can answer me privately if you prefer, don't want you to suffer the same needless abuse as that

Needless abuse? I think I've made myself clear on VAMs non com status here and after all I think you're a fine one to talk about needless abuse!
I think your 'F-OFF Thomas' score is in low double figures isn't it?

It's only a matter of time before the Crista unravels........................
Enjoy your weekend!

Edited to add;
The Ginga's silence on the issue is deafening, I'm guessing her fragile concord with Sandy hasn't survived?

From Andys 17 questions....

Before we conclude let me add that our mutual friend Rat Scabies and myself have enjoyed many evenings out with you and have commented each time how everything you have said and the way you have said it, really seems to rings true. Rat even put a lie detector in front of you for an entire evening one once and it affirmed your position 100% of the time!

WHOAH  Andy has blown me away with that one
How does one do that???

By telling the truth, obviously.

An entire evening with Ben and Rat in which no strong drink was taken so Rat could utilise his previouskly unknown training
as a Polygraph operator?

Too surreal, even for me!

I declined Bruce Burgess' offer to take part in his new film and received this back from him:

"You knew the Loch ness monster was a fake, and you knew the tomb was a fake all along, or at least suspected it was, so kath, you are up to your neck in his fraud. So please save me the false humility."

Let's hope his whole film isn't purely based on his opinions!

Hi VAM,

Did Bruce say anything at all regarding what this new film is going to be about?

Well he wanted dirt on Hammott for it so I would imagine the Hammott hoaxes will feature. Unless he's making a whole Hammott film? Or a series of films, one per hoax? He could call it the Hammott house of horrors! :|

Ok, thanks. Probably a face-saving effort, while also trying to somehow 'cash in' on 'Hammott's' new found notoriety.

When I'm not sure what to do or say I often ask myself, "What would Ben do?"

You see, when faced with the choice between doing what was easy and doing what was right, Ben chose the right, even though it confused and hurt some people along the way. Ben knew that he could not turn his tomb over to DRAC. And so, he chose to sacrifice himself for us and for our spiritual future. He chose to tell people that he lied and hoaxed. He chose to take all of the blame upon himself so as to protect his friends. We know this to be true because Ben is not nearly smart enough to pull off such a hoax by himself. And so Ben Hammott was forsaken by those he loved and by those to whom he spoke the truth. But Ben will redeem himself. Ben will rise once more from this humiliation and he will once again spread his message of tomb-love and tomb-truth. He may even spread his ludicrously stupid messages of church clues and painting alignments. And he will do this for us, for our benefit. Ben is a brave and selfless man deserving of our admiration and love. And that is why, in moments of doubt or despair, or just when there is nothing I can think of to say, I ask myself: "What would Ben Hammott do?"

Try it, it works!

That's the easy part, you''ll need an ebay account though. Buy some old bottles, draw a map to your location and seal it in the bottle, bury it in some location where you can say clues from the church led you too it. Wala, call Bruce.
