I had wondered what evidences for the Ark hoax attempt might be forthcoming, and when. They are astonishing.

Twenty four hours ago, I felt some level of pity for Ben, but it has evaporated since.

It is NOT TRUE that we tried to sell the ARK to some German researchers! In deed we went to a nerby country and i asked a very well known person to help us to take further steps for EXCAVATING THE T O M B! He never saw the Ark Photos,only the TOMB footage!!!!!!! You can ask him Andy, in deed it was my idea to raise some money from Bruce, because i thought he once tried to steel the TOMB from Ben and wanted to sell it to a person in the US! So I wanted to take the money to put it in an excavation, exactly this I asked the german speaking Person,-WE NEED MONEY TO DO THE EXCAVATION AND WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS??? And he tried to help us but couldnt do anything. To that moment I had NO IDEA THAT THE TOMB WAS A FAKE! I never wanted to sell the Ark to this person! Even now we all should say the truth!

Ben - 'I just made them'

Ben is fecking hilarious. I will definitely buy his next book, as long as it is a hoax narrative expose.

He was conversing via Skype from the car park at Rennes le Château, so he's there at the moment.

I listened to this earlier this morning. I think my main impression was how incredibly restrained Rene Barnett was, given that she is one of the people, along with Bruce Burgess, to have had their trust so grieviously abused, and their time and money so wasted by this whole sorry business. I'm not sure that I would have given Hammott the oxygen of publicity, but on balance I think it was probably a useful exercise in as much as it has answered a few questions, the most important of which, to me, was confirmation, thank goodness, that the body used in the hoax was a fake. Also noteworthy was the revelation that the tomb cave was completely faked, in a warehouse in England, whereas I had previously supposed that the cave, regardless of all the Hammott crap stashed in it, was a real location near Rennes. We now know that the site location to which Burgess and others have been taken had no such cave within it, and this was also part of the deception. Hammott has also stated that he intends to repeat his confession, with further detail, on his website, which he claims to be unable to alter at the present time as he is currently in Rennes. Somewhat bizarrely, he had skyped his interview with Rene from the RLC car park. I would have thought that would be the last place he'd show his face at the present time, either out of sheer embarrassment, or for fear of being seriously manhandled by irate local researchers, but perhaps he feels he has nowhere else to go.

If I have a criticism of the interview, it's that it didn't really address the other hoaxes this person has been involved in, which suggest a long established pattern of deceitful and dishonest behaviour, and enabled Hammott to pass himself off as a sad and pathetic Walter Mitty character, who almost came to believe in his own hoax. But an interesting interview, for all the evasive self-pity it contained, that at least answers a few lingering questions in this whole sad, pathetic, disgraceful business.

" We need to find the real thing now...we need to go find the real thing now, more than ever" ..... beware, the team are still up for continuing the next chapter.

Don't bet on that. My guess is that he will try to pass himself off as an expert hoaxer, highlighting just how easy it is to fool certain people, with nothing more than plastic props and hot air.
