Even though the new Explore Oak Island display was open last year for the public for a few months, we were not able to have a proper, formal opening, so it is with great pleasure that I announce the official public opening for the Explore Oak Island Display on Saturday, June 23 at 10 A.M.
There will be some guest speakers, a ribbon cutting, cake, refreshments and some costumed animators representing various theories that have been advanced about Oak Island. Expect to see a monk, British Soldier, a Templar Knight, a Spanish Conquistador and of course, a pirate. Have your photo taken with any of these characters, and watch out for the pirate.
Everyone is welcome so don’t be shy, come on out, it won’t cost you a penny and you will be fed and royally entertained.
As a reminder, the Explore Oak Island Display is located at 20 Smith Road, Village of Chester Nova Scotia in the old Train Station. It is open right now, seven days a week, all season long.
