I was responding to these things you posted:

The information you seek on the destination of almost all Templar vessels is available in the archives of the school of Prince Henry the Navigator, and it has been avoided like the plague by genre authors either because it debunks most of the nonsense out there, or because they'd have to acquire some credentials.
I'm here not because I have any interest in Oak Island (apart from finding the area a wonderful place to cruise in summer), but because I do have an interest in some of the other things discussed on Andy's "Arcadia". One of the things I have a considerable interest in, is defending these fanatically Catholic Knights from all the crap that's been attributed to them by various and sundry miscreants over the centuries. Whenever Templars are mentioned in conjunction with utter nonsense, don't be surprised to see my snarling head pop up into a thread. Most here are probably used to it by now.
I did write that, but did not bring up the book in question, only acknowledged it. My interest doesn't necessarily lie in Oak Island either, but in the Annapolis Basin area. Because of all of the explorers, Cabot, Verrazzano, Cartier, and my favorite, Samuel de Champlain, I hadn't thought I needed the Templars untill I read some of the things John Macneil had said. Also the city Joan Hope discovered near New Ross had to have been built by somebody. Supposedly in recent times it had been called Charing Cross, but it is only known by residents to have had the name "the Cross". Charing Cross has a history as a city near London which I am sure you know the history of, and how it got that name.
I used to sail a lot and even had a cruiser in the Florida Keys for several years (cruiser/ fat sailboat). It looks like it would take considerable experience to handle the N.S. tides. My own main hobby was flying, actually I was an aircraft dealer for quite awhile.---Bill
