perhaps if you treated everyone else with a modicum of respect you may receive it back and people might actually listen to what you say

Or if he backed up any of his claims with anything 'concrete', or even honestly accepted that some of his claims have no merit once they have been examined...

Although he should be given some credit for his Loreena McKennitt claim. He believes she is a very good performer and he is "walking the walk" by seeking direct evidence...

He never listens to them....

P.S. Enjoy the concert Roscoe. :mrgreen:

Sometimes they say that you have give up some time to the little people, but sometimes life's just too short. Give me a knock when you've got something interesting to say and feel privileged that I actually read what you said this time. Don't rely on it in future, I'm just in a good mood.

Because

I was about 15 feet from Loreena McKennitt. I walked back from the theatre about ten feet off the ground. She has now gone over to Europe to continue her CELTIC FOOTPRINTS tour. I'm no longer bothered by the wall to wall trivia that's dribbled all over this forum.

I will continue here though because there are people here I want to talk to. But alas you're not one of them.

You can earn my respect when you stop talking AT me and start talking TO me.

Roscoe,

I'm not in the least interested in earning your respect.

I am, however, silly enough to think that you might have something to say and request that you explain yourself, well, at least from time to time.

I had never heard of Loreena before, so I have to thank you for that. I'm glad you got your money's worth.

If you have nothing to say and are content in talking AT me then simply shut the F__K up.

You are now on ignore

Gosh. That IS silly. He is so consistently wrong and clueless about everything that if Roscoe says the sky is blue then it is best to look outside and check for yourself. Of course, even that ultra-low level of accuracy doesn't make him unique on this forum.

I think that whole colour of the sky thing is a real grey area...

Griffiths LaPaglia for Assange telemovie

Quote:
A telemovie about the early life of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange starring Rachel Griffiths and Anthony LaPaglia will begin filming around Melbourne shortly.

Network Ten announced newcomer Alex Williams has been cast to play the young Assange in Underground, with Griffiths taking the role of his mother Christine Assange and LaPaglia a policeman investigating Assange's hacking abilities.

'Everyone has an opinion about Julian Assange,' said Ten executive producer Rick Maier in a statement.

'This film will deliver a compelling insight into who Julian is, and how he became one of the most talked-about figures of our time.'

Written and directed by AFI Award-winning filmmaker Robert Connolly (Balibo, The Slap), Underground will be screened on Ten in the second half of 2012.

The Lady of Shalot

On either side of the river lie
Long fields of barley and of rye,
That clothe the world and meet the sky;
And thro' the field the road run by
To many-towered Camelot;
And up and down the people go,
Gazing where the lilies blow
Round an island there below,
The island of Shalott.

Willows whiten, aspens quiver,
Little breezes dusk and shiver
Thro' the wave that runs for ever
By the island in the river
Flowing down to Camelot.
Four grey walls, and four grey towers,
Overlook a space of flowers,
And the silent isle imbowers
The Lady of Shalott.

Only reapers, reaping early,
In among the bearded barley
Hear a song that echoes cheerly
From the river winding clearly
Down to tower'd Camelot;
And by the moon the reaper weary,
Piling sheaves in uplands airy,
Listening, whispers "'tis the fairy
The Lady of Shalott."

There she weaves by night and day
A magic web with colours gay,
She has heard a whisper say,
A curse is on her if she stay
To look down to Camelot.
She knows not what the curse may be,
And so she weaveth steadily,
And little other care hath she,
The Lady of Shalott.

And moving through a mirror clear
That hangs before her all the year,
Shadows of the world appear.
There she sees the highway near
Winding down to Camelot;
And sometimes thro' the mirror blue
The Knights come riding two and two.
She hath no loyal Knight and true,
The Lady Of Shalott.

But in her web she still delights
To weave the mirror's magic sights,
For often thro' the silent nights
A funeral, with plumes and lights
And music, went to Camelot;
Or when the Moon was overhead,
Came two young lovers lately wed.
"I am half sick of shadows," said
The Lady Of Shalott.

A bow-shot from her bower-eaves,
He rode between the barley sheaves,
The sun came dazzling thro' the leaves,
And flamed upon the brazen greaves
Of bold Sir Lancelot.
A red-cross knight for ever kneel'd
To a lady in his shield,
That sparkled on the yellow field,
Beside remote Shalott.

His broad clear brow in sunlight glow'd;
On burnish'd hooves his war-horse trode;
From underneath his helmet flow'd
His coal-black curls as on he rode,
As he rode back to Camelot.
From the bank and from the river
he flashed into the crystal mirror,
"Tirra Lirra," by the river
Sang Sir Lancelot.

She left the web, she left the loom,
She made three paces taro' the room,
She saw the water-lily bloom,
She saw the helmet and the plume,
She looked down to Camelot.
Out flew the web and floated wide;
The mirror cracked from side to side;
"The curse is come upon me," cried
The Lady of Shalott.

In the stormy east-wind straining,
The pale yellow woods were waning,
The broad stream in his banks complaining.
Heavily the low sky raining
Over towered Camelot;
Down she came and found a boat
Beneath a willow left afloat,
And round about the prow she wrote
The Lady of Shalott

And down the river's dim expanse
Like some bold seer in a trance,
Seeing all his own mischance -
With a glassy countenance
Did she look to Camelot.
And at the closing of the day
She loosed the chain and down she lay;
The broad stream bore her far away,
The Lady of Shalott.

Heard a carol, mournful, holy,
Chanted loudly, chanted lowly,
Till her blood was frozen slowly,
And her eyes were darkened wholly,
Turn'd to towered Camelot.
For ere she reach'd upon the tide
The first house by the water-side,
Singing in her song she died,
The Lady of Shalott.

Under tower and balcony,
By garden-wall and gallery,
A gleaming shape she floated by,
Dead-pale between the houses high,
Silent into Camelot.
Out upon the wharfs they came,
Knight and Burgher, Lord and Dame,
And round the prow they read her name,
The Lady of Shalott.

Who is this? And what is here?
And in the lighted palace near
Died the sound of royal cheer;
And they crossed themselves for fear,
All the Knights at Camelot;
But Lancelot mused a little space
He said, "She has a lovely face;
God in his mercy lend her grace,
The Lady of Shalott."

Roscoe, I just couldn't resist responding.

The splendor falls on castle walls
And snowy summits old in story;
The long light shakes across the lakes,
And the wild cataract leaps in glory.
Blow, bugle, blow, set the wild echoes flying,
Blow, bugle; answer, echoes, dying, dying, dying.

O, hark, O, hear! how thin and clear,
And thinner, clearer, farther going!
O, sweet and far from cliff and scar
The horns of Elfland faintly blowing!
Blow, let us hear the purple glens replying,
Blow, bugles; answer, echoes, dying, dying, dying.

O love, they die in yon rich sky,
They faint on hill or field or river;
Our echoes roll from soul to soul,
And grow forever and forever.
Blow, bugle, blow, set the wild echoes flying,
And answer, echoes, answer, dying, dying, dying.

They've never been to Sonora.

Instead they say dollah ana quartah.

Roscoe....did you know that there are some awesome film clips including Loreena McKennitt songs and music
on You Tube? I like to go there every now and again to enjoy..this is a link to one of those pages..
her song Night Ride in the Caucasus is set to an old Chechnyan film...I love the dancing!
They start learning that dance in kindergarten and even old men still remember how to put life into their step when they hear the music..Chechnyans around the world will gather even in a parking lot, and dance this for a few moments to remind them of home and the 'old ways'...ahhh but just enjoy it because she is singing. nuff said....

The artist is Jewish and being facetious with the intent to poke fun at ignoramuses, just as like someone here that's quite famously and virulently anti-Semitic within. Take your pick of Jewish conspiracy...The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, the Jews did 9-11, there was never a Holocaust, Jew Bankers are the Illuminati NWO...sorry for the offense but Hungarian family of mine didn't survive the same kind of hatreds so his New Agey love and light is a sham as far as I'm concerned.
