From the front page of this website, a "17 Questions" interview with the biblical scholar Robert Eisenman, mainly concerned with his work with the Dead Sea Scrolls, but also touching on his investigations with radar ground scans at Rennes-le-Chateau. Thanks, Andrew, for an interesting interview.

I am not a great expert on the ‘Cathars’ of Southern France but, given what we know about them, it is clear that they owe a lot to earlier dualistic and Gnostic movements, both in Eastern Europe (particularly in the Balkans) and Asia Minor.

.....i also like the fact that the interview was published un-edited at Eisenman's request.

Very good interview. The answers for those 17 questions leaves me with about another 117 questions.

One of the books that I have read just recently was John Allegro's "The Dead Sea Scrolls and the Christian Myth." It's a great book. There is a great deal of historically accurate information within it...information that is referenced and foot-noted.

So....the Helen mentioned by Eisenman...that wouldn't be Simon Magus' consort would it? (she fits the timeline perfectly) If that is so, then her donation of the minorah takes on a whole new meaning.

Also, the titles of the Essenes were nearly identical to the titles used by the Cathars..."The Perfect" etc. etc....you don't have to be an expert on Cathars to figure that out.

You know all those paintings with people pointing with their index finger? The answer to that is in the book by Allegro.

The phrase "Et in Arcadia ego" is also explained by Allegro. I think he's spot on...

Seems we just keep going round and round the Mulberry Tree....(see Gobekli Tepe)
