There is a bit of up and down with the servers.
I think everyone's had a few troubles at some time.
You weren't trying to access the locked thread were you?

Hi T,
It's a security error, either from the server ( Arcadia ) side not recognising the correct password to enable you to view/post or from your computer, such as being blocked by your firewall/anti-virus software. I wouldn't turn off your security to check though as this can be a common way for hackers to gain access to your PC. Wait a few days, and let the mod here know you are having problems, it could just be an issue with Arcadia. Also don't download any software that promises to solve the problem, they are usually a scam. Are any other forum members having the same issue ? I'm not at present.
Regards
Nic

It's happening all the time for me now, some days I can't post at all. I have tried logging out and back in, using different computers and switching my server off and on but nothing makes a difference apart from the number of the error message, sometimes it's a 403 error sometimes 404 . I have PMd Andy so hopefully he can sort it out soon :D

About a week or so ago I had a few problems but it's resolved itself now.

Perhaps Andrew Gough is desperately trying to censur you because of your utterly brilliant ( ) observations regarding the Hammott Hoax exposure....

It's been happening to me periodically the past couple of months, no idea why, happened twice this morning while flicking through the past 24 hours of forum traffic. A while back it stopped me from sending PMs for a couple of days, but mostly it's just an occasional annoyance. My best advice would be to "copy" your text once you've written it, ready to paste back just in case the glitch occurs, and make this just one extra step in the normal checking / editing / proofing process; and it's also a good defence against getting timed out on a long posting (I'm sure we've all experienced that heartache at least once).

I received a few PMs yesterday but couldn’t reply to them, it seems to be ok today, at least for now.

The copy step is one I always use myself, because, of course, the error issue is one that happens to me too... I have lost some brilliantly written posts that way, never to be rewritten... :D
