After visiting Rosslyn chapel
I thought I would write about some of my impressions
Picked up a book called Rosslyn chapel revealed by Turnbull

one interesting thing stood out for me was that the consecration cross stone
they are still there and were anointed with holy oils
three dates Kennedy 1440 graham 1446 and Stewart 1497
My family on their heraldry has the cross crosslet
actually three of them

I was wondering why the cross crosslet
well it seems that the cross crosslet was a sign by Crusader families...the ones who participated
that rings true because St Clair participated in the Crusades

You will see at the Holy Sepulchre
his necklace with his insignia

the four crosses ...its different than Godfrey's but still contains the four crosses

Actually the cross crosslet goes way back to King Offa of Mercia

and remember that cross crosslet with the fluerette in the middle
because that is symbol is on William St Clair's stone

sacred four, the square within the circle being the most potent of all magical figures
The most sacred oath of the Pythagoreans
was "by the Sacred Four," or tetraktys.
Spreading the gospels to the four corners of the Earth
This the knight who died trying to take Bruce's heart back to the Holy Land

Templars were buried with their legs crossed. Templars believed only the skull and two femurs were needed for resurrection. Its a direct hint to Golgatha where Christ died and was buried "the place of the cross" Matt 27:33. The Templars and Rome disagreed on what was necessary for a person's resurrection. Templars believed only the thigh bones and skull were necessary. Rome believed all bones were necessary

Wonder why they only thought those bones?
