I am so sorry for not replying before. Sometimes itis an old excuse to say . . . "I have been busy". But I have really been so busy, that you just wouldn't believe it!

I don't really know that much about Druid rituals, except the general stuff. Some of these rituals are very similiar to the Old Wiccan tradition that I used to be involved with. But I do not really want to give comparrisons here, because I am really not supposed to.

But quite apart from that, I am a little unsure about the exact ceremony you are referring to.

I hope you are keeping well, anyway, and maybe I will have a little further time for a longer reply next time.

For the moment

David

That's okay, I think I should finish reading the book I'm reading before I ask any questions. I think I'm more interested in the more replicated parts of any ceremony rather then any ceremony itself.
I thought maybe you could make a suggestion on any particular ceremony that you are allowed to discuss would be fine by me.

For instance how you ground your ceremonies to the earth and the other elements.

Oh, have you had any experience with the elementals in creating them or someone else you know creating them? What do they do. What are the dangers and how do they help?
Just relax, answer in your own time. I'm not in a rush. Just would like to hear about your experiences.

Cheers
rain

EDIT TO ADD: Do you have any experiences in the rituals that during times of disturbance the high people(?) do to protect the country. Such as the wartime rituals?

So David when public utilities companies bill you for the energy, etc., you used last quarter do you refuse to pay, saying to them but I wasn't alive then because that is the past and I only live in the present? Just curious.

No Alexius, you missed the point entirely. Of course, everybody is (or was) alive in the past or you couldn't be alive in the present, could you!?

All I was saying was, its impossible to live in the past. Try it! Just try and live 5 minutes ago, or one second ago. It simply cannot be done. You can only live in this moment, that's all.

I cant see why anyone would want to go back to the past, anyway. If you havent lived then you probably wouldnt learn anything. The problem is having the resilience to come back, after bad things have happenned. That is the real test. Some make it,some dont. You need a lot of self belief.A lot.Ooher im getting all philosophical! Will go and cook something for me dinner, havent had it yet.

Yes,i would like to.But I have a bit of a drawback.I cant cook.It would have to be something easy, like toast !.Ido try,but havent got the cooking gene im afraid.I only eat when I am hungry. Also,my cloven hooves and fangs get in the way.But if i am in the area,i will come over and do you some cheese on toast!

Luci,

I don't care what you could manage, but if you got to the fridge, it might just be empty!

Could always get a take-away I suppose. Us 'witches' are not that fussy!

David,What is it about blokes, why would your fridge be empty?Honestly you cant live on fresh air.Im not very domesticated, but at least ive got some stuff in my freezer! My Brother was exactly the same, not concerned with anything except work.My mother once found a cup that had been left so long,it had fungus growing out of it.

Well, I guess I asked for that, Luci! Needs a lady's reasoning to put you in the picture, I suppose.

Well, I may have told a lie (but only inadvertently); the fridge usually has some beer in it, although, as a lady, I suppose you'd argue that beer is not food! That's debateable, but sometimes its easier to snatch a beer when I'm in the middle of writing something than it is to cook some food!

I think what it comes down to is that I don't only need a new secretary but another wife to take off some of the pressure.

Better not debate that here, or I'll be accused of going 'off-topic' - but its worth a thought!

Thanks Luci.

David

Well, I had my little black cat Katie here for about 16 years. I also had a rabbit for 9 years living in my flat! A few human females used to come and go inbetween, I admit! But I never really never got 'attached' to any human females Luci,; at least, not seriously. And the fridge is still empty - of food at least!

Gareth never wants tea, Luci, just red wine and loads of it!

As for me, I just survive somehow. whether the fridge is full or empty. But I do need a new secretary though. The last one couldn't cook either (although she did try sometimes) but her attempts amounted to absolute diasasters! although her job was mainly secretarial, not really cooking!

I don't think typing speed is that important in secretarial duties, Luci; far more important is sincerity and dedication. Easy to say maybe, but that's a hard thing to find in this 'upside-down' world!
As for drinking wine, I guess I picked up the habit when I was working on the grape farms in France many years ago. It was served with the farmhouse cooking by the tumbler full, so I'm sort of 'immune' to it - at least, it hardly affects me, except for social purposes.

Anyway, its been very quiet on this "DF 17 Questions thread" recently, so do ask me anymore questions if you want to.
For now

David (Farrant)

"Grape farms" eh Dave. First time I've heard vineyards called that. I think the French call them les vignobles. Come on Dave you're a bit of a pseud, non?

Well, call them what you will Alexius. But I worked on quite a few of them. Good food, and good wine as well!

Let me come back to you on this tomorrow, which I will. I have had such a busy day, you could hardly believe it! Had to go here there and everywhere, but did get a lot of writing done last night and this evening, which is something!
So, will come back to you tomorrow and prrhaps we can talk further about it.

For now,

David

Hi David,Hi Alexius.Ive just seen that SOMEONE managed to get most of my post removed again!im as mad as hell about this.YES,as a matter of fact it was quite interesting. But no one can read it now, because SOMEONE decided it should be banned.I cant for the life of me see why anyone should feel that im a threat. To behave as though i am is absurd!it really is.This is childish behavior. When the things i say are not half as bad as other people.Who seem to get away with most things.whoever did this is just having a laugh .Well,im not laughing. If you[and i know who you are]want a fightyou really are trying to provoke me..THIS time you should have chosen your victim more wisely.i refuse to have great chunks of my posts cut out!How dare anyone censor what i say! What a bloody nerve.I demand the same respect that is given to others on this forum!

In fact, what i said was perfectly harmless, unless you are just out to persecute someone.if someone has a problem with me discussing films etc or other opinions i express on this forum why cant they just say so?
