Whatever, you do realise you asked me to explain and I did, doesn't worry me, I don't think anyone's following anyway but is a public forum not a private one although some would like to think it's privileged knowledge as to what a "Theatre of the world" really is.

The most important level of de cherisey's work - the real theatre. But no worries - don't ask what I mean again it's clear you don't get the joke from the Maguelonne thread.

Ssssshhhhh, quiet, Fresh is reading HBHG - the great and holy tome of the "English speaking world" .

I'm looking forward to you Crimson Ghost and Pilrig guiding Fresh through that process since you've both volunteered to be the Welcome wagon.

School of hard knocks  I shudder to think what you consider of famine, disease, death, war & poverty then.

Hello Fresh, Please watch out for the section in HBHG about Emma Calve and the Neo-Cathars. Does HBHG

say that Sauniere was also a Neo-Cathar?

I`m far from a tour guide, just welcoming aboard another member. Thanks for your concern though.

Volunteered ? Moi ?
Best advice for a newcomer through the RLC tale stick to what is demonstrable and provable, but the hoaxes, the shoals of red herring are just as much part of the scenario. To find the treasure of Rennes-le-Chateau go to the car park wall, take a deep breath and appreciate the panorama.

Nicely said, Pilrig. :)

and if you read " Circuit" and figure out what to do with said Michelin map....for example, inverse map and go directly south, you end up exactly at the l'embouchure du Rhône that i'm studying.

The meridan of Antwerp....The Belgian Merdian of 0°

Theatrum Orbis Terrarum ...The "Theatre of the World"....i think Paddy might understand what i'm saying.

More likely the place where Philippe de Cherisey chose to make his home. It's where the Belgian observatory is situated.

Every country had it's own meridian. The Greenwich meridian was chosen in 1884 because all the world sea charts at the time were made in the UK. Greenwich mean time was not adopted in France until 1979.

I am also reading "inside the priory of sion" at the moment, so will come back with my thoughts once done.

Its nice to see this forum is no different to any other. I also frequent a football forum and the individual infighting is incredible. Good to see people here are passionate

that's because it's easy to get aggressive behind a keyboard. I doubt, say Roscoe, would tell me to fuck off to my face. One of the bad things about the internet is that it allows people to voice things without taking any responsibilty for them

I disagree.

The view is just as good in several other directions.

You've confused the words "passionate" and "ignorant". It is easily done.

reading Vi Marriot's The Fools Coat at the moment, I'm only about a third in but it's a very good book IMO. Very objective so far and info I had not heard of before. Worth a punt

I'd recommend the books by Graham Simmans and going there if possible.
