Rennes Group to Meet 13 August in London

I am pleased to announce that the Summer Rennes Group meeting will take place on the 13th of August at Soho House in London. In addition to reserving more time for group discussion I am pleased to announce that our special guests will include:

* Duncan Burden, who will be elaborating on his findings, as documented in his recent guest article.

* Bruce Burgess, the Bloodline documentary Director who has been quite vocal about his opinions on RLC as of late.

guys...i was trying to be polite.... i do tend to get up people's noses if i speak my mind.. .. and am i really going to come out and say that The Rennes Group is scraping the bottom of the barrel this time?

Yep, looking at that whole Marantha thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I feel sorry for the people who put time and effort into trying to win that money, seems like they got suckered :evil:

Andrew (or anyone who can answer)...

I'm from the US and am fairly new to the Rennes discussions. I've read several books regarding Rennes le Chateau and am fascinated by the many theories. I'd love to visit London and attend this event. I'm just wondering if a "newbie" such as myself would be welcome. I'm very interested in learning more but I'm afraid I may not have much to contribute.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I don't mind getting up people's noses......maybe save your $'s for a field trip to RLC, you'll get more out of it.

I'm not a member of the group myself, but my understanding is they hold their meetings under what are known as Chatham House Rules, which means that what gets discussed in the room stays in the room, thereby enabling participants to speak freely, without fear of getting quoted, in or out of context, elsewhere, and thus aiding free and unencumbered discussion. That's my understanding, at any rate, so I would doubt this will ever get reported in any detail.

I was one of those who gave a talk (besides Duncan Burden, Patrice Chaplin and briefly Bill Kersey). Mine was a discussion on Poussin, The Shepherds of Arcadia, my trip to the Paris and Versailles archives, the painting's provenance and geometry, etc.

There are no rules regarding what is to be commented upon as no 'non-disclosure' agreements were signed. Photos of the event may be posted by Andrew etc. sometime in the future.

It seems as if we`re not going to get any new crop circles until this one gets posted as the post-Rennes Meeting

Formation. It is very geometric which is perfect. I don`t think they have a name for this design, not even in Poussin-

geometry terms.
