The most interesting account relating to Bérenger Saunière came from a Monsieur Espeut, relating to his activities of the 1920s:

"...I would like to state that the Abbé Saunière never found any treasure. You see, I was actually born in Espéraza. My family knew the Dénarnaud family. In 1925, when I was 14 years old, I used to go up regularly to Rennes-le-Château. I used to go and see Marie Dénarnaud. She was living in rather pitiable circumstances. I did my harmony lessons on the organs in the salon, which have now disappeared. In the library of the Tour Magdala, I read all the correspondence of the priest with his ecclesiastical lawyer at the time of his trial at the court of Rome. It was by collecting money for saying masses that the Abbé Saunière was able to construct his estate. He published small ads in the Catholic press throughout the world. I was able to read their texts, and I have seen thousands of replies".(Midi Libre, 13 February, 1973).

I guess you'd be something of an authority on mental illness, thus your uncanny ability to diagnose it in others.

Gee, I can't seem to recall making that statement. I think you're hallucinating. Perhaps you could provide a shred of evidence for your bizarre statement.

Guys, this highly entertaining and hopefully not too offensive thread is clearly a product of a Friday afternoon. Why can’t we all get along then, huh?

Can't we direct all this angst at someting we all agree to dislike? There must be somthing.

Hi Andy, what happened to the interesting, pleasant conversations that were taking place on this forum prior to a certain somebody joining? Now there only appears to be character attacks and name calling. I'm afraid of what will happen next, as it has so many times in the past, this person that offers nothing other then "I'm right , so you're wrong", for an argument will soon start spamming this forum by repeating the same message over and over and making this forum completely unreadable and impossible to navigate.

I am all for freedom of speach, but if somebody is nothing more then a pimple on the ass of progress, I think it's best to cut the defect before it's too late.

Hi Jim. Thanks for the feedback. I have in fact deleted multiple posts from multiple people where the notion of good taste has been completely lacking. So, I prefer to take an 'edit, not ban' approach, for now. But thank you very much for your comment and for promoting good positive debate. Much appreciated.

Cheers,

Andy

Thanks for publishing my old post, Paul. Brings back good times. True story, really. Of course, I never seriously considered killing myself but I wanted to emphasize that I was depressed at the time. Killing yourself is something you merely think of the possibility of. You don't actually do it, unless you're mentally ill (jump in here, Paul). I did pray to God like I said, sort of an experiment to see what would happen. Do you dispute the existence of God, Paul? Let's see you convince all the Christians, Jews and Muslims that God doesn't exist. It's a popular notion, you know.
Is it coincidence that I then went on to solve some of the greatest mysteries on earth? You tell me. Maybe YOU should say your prayers, Paul. Then maybe YOU would do something of significance in the world instead of being a common nuisance.
Notice that post was dated 2002. That was before Isolved such thngs as the Oak Island Cross, The Last Supper and the Great Pyramid.

So about your much quoted guru Pierre Jarnac disagreeing with everything you say - Any comments?

And that other guru of yours Jean Luc Chaumeil who is known to have tried to push fake documents in the past. Any comments about him Smith?

So you upset them on the Mania forum and they banned you. You really do have a problem - N'est-ce pas?

Look drop this stupid illusion you think you are creating. Everyone knows you don't discuss anything because you can't discuss anything. Everyone here and yourself knows your argument is too weak. Hence the reason you always reach for the insult.

We know where you are coming from, you are fooling nobody.

Yes and we have seen them also.

And get this they don't add up to a fraction of what he spent.

Did David Williams "run away" or did he give up trying to communicate with a mental incompetent?
